If it's a matter of the likes of Southgate and Bruce or Arsene Wenger it's a pretty easy choice isn't it?
As it has the bonus of Arsenal having to find a new manager next season and beginning to understand the meaning of being careful what you wish for.

Spandex - He's practically English anyway. Def appears as if he was sending a messgae today. 66 years old, last year at Arsenal and has rung up the 20 years there. Mmmm.

I hope Wenger gets it, if only to clear the way for the shit manager Arsenal fans deserve.

I agree with dissolving the national team.

I see Wenger has made it just about as clear as he can he fancies a bit of this

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37517687

I would be fucking delighted, there isn't a candidate out there that can come close to his experience and consistent success.

I think the England manager should always be English but this shouldn't trump the priority of the best and most suitable manager available. Looks like Pardew's stock is about to evaporate so that leaves Eddie Howe, bless him.

Think Wenger's contract is up 1st June so I'm guessing the FA would be happy to wait for him because they need to look at the bigger picture now more than ever.

Id rather they disband the English national team full stop. Fucking national embarassment in my book. Says it all having simpletons like Southgate involved in the national set up.

Agree. I also thought St Georges Park was to create a hub for coaches to be groomed and trained.....

If they wanted that they would appoint Graham Rix as Director of Development

Klinsmann.

Agree. I also thought St Georges Park was to create a hub for coaches to be groomed and trained to be England manager. Same for players. To be like a production line.

How long can Southgate keep saying he doesn't want it? Is he too scared that failure may see the end of his career?

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
If Southgate doesnt want it he should be sacked as U21 boss

Thought the whole idea of the U21 manager was to blood someone for the full time job one day. If after 3 years he doesnt want the big job then fuck him off, whats the point of him ???

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
I wouldn't mind at all if Wenger got it

He's been a brilliant manager for the Arsenal despite what many of their fans may think or say

I really think a foreign coach would be better because:-

Firstly, there are are only a few good English coaches around (Pardew & Howe ~ anyone else?)

Secondly, we seem to be light years behind in terms of tactics compared to most countries, even the so-called "smaller" nations

I would suggest the German style of football is the closest match to ours in many ways, compared to the Latin styles. Perhaps that's why Ron Greenwood mooted the idea of a German coach for England, all those years ago

I believe he was probably right

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
Southgate has said he doesn't want it and think he is smart enough to know his level is as a back room FA drone.
Suspect the FA will sound out Wenger who has always said he wont break a contract.
Think Wenger is smart enough to know when its time to go and wouldn't be surprised if he'd like to give it one last go this season and then step back.
Could see him being intrigued by it.

Its a real careful what you wish for moment as the Arsenal fans behaviour towards him has been an absolute disgrace.
Can imagine after smashing Chelsea and winning last night he is flavour of the month again but the cunts will turn soon enough.
As I always say to Arsenal fans .... you don't know you are born.

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
I'm almost certain it will be Southgate. He has 4 very winnable games as the caretaker, so winning them puts him in a strong position straightaway. He's an FA man and a safe pair of hands. We're shit anyway, so expectations are low, plus it would save the FA of having to go through the laborious recruitment process again.

BFS should've been sacked after saying what he said about Rooney, anyway.

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
They'll go for the unambitious, cheap option and appoint Southgate full-time.

I couldn't give a fuck though as the England international team are a fucking joke... And a dull, tedious one at that.

I think it's fucking hilarious people are suggesting Redknapp. If thought Allardyce was slightly dodgy, you ain't seen nothing yet.

What most of you are forgetting is that MOST Frogs fucking hate us. Why would Wenger want to upset the vast majority of his country men. When he is odds on to walk into his own national team. Managerial job. With more chance of winning something. And far less hassle from Joe Public.?

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
Eddie Howe will suit the mongtard nation as a 'personality' that is 'right' no matter how shit things get, much like Bilic at WHU this season.

Re: The next England manager will be . . .
I think Wenger would be a great choice,. particularly since he is out of an Arse contract next year.
